Hi, I’m Mary Marz, your personal Image Consultant. It’s great to meet you! I’ve had a passion for fashion and beauty since I was a little girl – coordinating outfits, playing with makeup and walking around in high heels.
When it was time to choose a company to begin my “real world” communications career with, I was honored to be hired at a local insurance carrier. Many people told me I wouldn’t last a year because my passion and industry were polar opposites. (It might have had something to do with the fact that I was reading fashion magazines and blogs rather than insurance journals.) Determined to prove them wrong, I relied on my drive toward excellence to lead an extremely successful, 14-year and going, career. But I have always dreamed to do something with my passion.
So I promised myself on my 34th birthday that I wasn’t going to let another one pass by without helping people become Perfectly Poised for whatever life throws at them.
While I think I was born with styling in my blood, I earned my Image Consultant certification from the Fashion Stylist Institute in 2016. That, partnered with the experiences I’ve gained in communication, change management, and personal and professional development, as well as my bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University, have laid the ground work for Perfectly Poised. I’ve learned firsthand how important your image is, whether that’s in the board room, ball room or at a backyard BBQ.
I believe that your personal style should be a direct reflection of your unique image and personality. When you LOOK good, you FEEL good! And when you feel good, you are Perfectly Poised to accomplish anything!
